PER Course - Playworker with Extra Responsibilities

The Foundation for Educational Services (FES) is organising a Training Course for the role of Playworker with Extra Responsibility (PER).
Applications for this course close on Friday 3rd January 2025 at noon.
The sessions will be held Online through Teams. A short test will be held at the end of each session. Candidates must attend for all the sessions. Failing to attend for just one session will mean that you are not awarded the certificate.
The course consists of six ( 6) sessions of around two (2) hours each consisting of:

Session 1 – 14th January 2025 : Introduction to the role and duties related to Human Resources and Services - 16:00 - 18:00 pm

Session 2 - 16th January 2025 : Duties related to the Programme - 16:00pm till 18:00pm

Session 3- 20th January 2025 : Using Online Portal - Services Department- -16:00pm till 18:00pm

Session 4 – 23rd January 2025 : Financial Duties- Finance Department- 16:00pm till 18:00pm

Session 5 – 27th January 2025 : Duties Related to Services - Services Department- 16:00pm till 18:00pm

Session 6 - 30th January 2025 : Corporate Duties - Corporate Department- 16:00pm till 18:00pm
Eligibility Criteria for the course to start in January 2025:-
- A qualification pegged at MQF Level 4;
- Work experience of:
- 24 months or more working as a playworker with the FES by the time of application for the course; or
- Having worked as a playworker during the last four (4) years Skolsajf Terms; or
- Having completed 2 years’ experience as a teacher, kindergarten educator, or learning support educator; or
- Having 2 years’ proven experience in administration. Preference will be given to those candidates that have experience as a playworker with FES.
- Applicants must be able to communicate in Maltese and/or English;
- Present the Employment History issued by Jobsplus as a proof of the experience mentioned in CV.
- 18 years of age or older
- Successful Candidates from the course would still have to apply for the post of PER when/if it opens in order to work as a PER. Only candidates with a successful PER course can work as a PER.
