A vacancy for the post of Centre Coordinator has arisen within the Foundation. During the scholastic term, the opening core hours of the service are from September till end of May between 2.30pm and 5:30pm and in June from 12:30 till 5:30pm, depending on the requirements of the centre.
Accountability
The Centre Coordinators of Klabb 3-16 would be accountable to the Manager Services or his/her delegate.
Roles and Responsibility
- Ensuring that the programme of activities delivered is interesting, valuable and appropriate to the children using the facilities.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of children.
- Ensuring that parents, carers and other visitors are made to feel welcome on visiting the play facility and that they receive appropriate information and advice.
- Maximising the learning value of the activities by planning and evaluating activities.
- Contributing to the accountability of the centre through the assisting in the maintenance of agreed records including registers, contracts, doctors, accident books, financial transactions, etc.
Centre Coordinators will be paid at the rate of € 11.82 per hour (2023). In addition, the Officer shall receive any bonuses and any other benefits which s/he is entitled to in terms of law on a pro-rata basis. Centre Coordinators are expected to work on a daily basis from Monday to Friday from 2:30pm till the closing of the centre throughout Klabb 3-16 and are expected to work core hours during the Skolasajf programmes.
Eligibility Criteria
By the time of application candidates must present:-
1. A detailed CV
2. A recognised
- degree at MQF Level 6, in (i) Education or (ii) Social Sciences or equivalent, plus three (3) years relevant work experience or
- qualification MQF Level 5, in (i) Education or (ii) Social Sciences or equivalent, plus
- experience working with the FES as Acting Centre Coordinator or
- two (2) years ( i.e. 24 months) work experience with FES as a Playworker with extra responsibilities (PER);
3. A police conduct (issued within the past six months)
4. Ability to communicate in both Maltese and English

Closing date: This is an ongoing call for applications with the closing date being end of June 2023. Due to the demand of the service, the interviews will be held periodically depending on the need and vacancies available.
